Additional Support in Seesaw

Dear Parents of Grade 1- Grade 5

A new page has been created on seesaw for each grade that will contain additional support material for the upcoming assessments. The page will be named ‘the Grade followed by Support for example: Grade 1 Support, Grade 4 Support.

This work is optional and therefore will be on the new pages to avoid confusion with any classwork set.

Kind regards,

UPDATE : DISTANCE LEARNING

Dear KG1-Grade 10 Parents,

I hope you are well. The Ministry of Education will give the directive to indicate if there is a return on Monday 11th  May to ‘in school learning’ or that we remain with’ distance learning’. Usually, this instruction is given on Sunday evening so if a return to ‘in school learning’ is required this will take place on Tuesday 12th May. This will allow families  a smooth transition from ‘distance learning’ to ‘in school’ and we look forward to having the students back in school when permission is given.

Thank you for your understanding.

NEW ADMISSIONS

Dear Parents,

I hope you are well.

Originally we were holding the second series of entrance examinations on Saturday 9th May however as the school is currently closed and following distance learning so these are not taking place. However, they will be arranged at the first available opportunity on the resumption of  ‘in school learning.

Thank you for your understanding.

Distance learning

Dear Parents,

I hope you are all well. Late last night we received the government directive indicating transition to distance learning due to hostile action. As this directive was given late last night, I understand that many teachers will not have materials for live distance learning at home with them so Tuesday will be a transition day with prerecorded lessons and work on seesaw. Wednesday we will start live lessons with zoom recordings across the school. The normal timetable will be used as much as possible. Please contact us on admin@fpa.sch.ae or message the school mobile 0504345358 should you need assistance. As always this is a team action and working together, we will get through this time. I will be in touch with Grade 11 and 12 parents separately concerning IGCSE and IAL examinations.

With best wishes,

Ms Jan Brettingham,

Principal
